Friday Dispatch Greatest hits
Which gems could you have missed?
Holiday
I’m on holiday this week, and although writing about supply chain is arguably better than being rained on in the queue for 5 GBP ice-creams, I decided to write this post pre-holiday so I could have a laptop-free week.
I’ve been writing the Friday Dispatch for just over six months now, with over 20 weekly editions. I wanted to use this post to highlight my favourite articles from earlier so that more recent subscribers can go back and read them.
So, in no particular order, here are my 5 favourite articles.
Jamie’s Top 5 Dispatches
A Practical Guide to Improving Road Safety Culture | I share my experience of how to improve road safety culture and outcomes.
Don’t do that, Jamie. It would be a crime. | I explain what I did when my team was offered a bribe and what you can learn from it.
What People Get Wrong in Interviews | I give my take on how to interview more effectively and with impact - based on 100s of interviews.
Yeah, but that won’t work on a response desk. I talk about construction procurement during the Central Sulawesi earthquake and why good procurement is possible in acute emergencies.
From PwC to Save the Children | I talk about my transition from corporate to international aid and outline how to approach a career change.
Thank you to everyone who has read an article, liked, shared, reposted or messaged me - engagement is the fuel that keeps this going, so please keep doing it!
Until next week,
Jamie
